Retül Fit

Being avid cyclist’s ourselves is one thing; but we also understand the importance of good quality products being fitted correctly. Bio-mechanically, all equipment should be correctly fitted to its user, ensuring correct use of the product to alleviating the possibility of injury. The Complete Cyclist Team is on hand, offering full bicycle set-ups in store.

 

 

Bike Setup

The Bike Setup covers everything you would expect from a 2D static bike fit. We will address your cycling discomfort and improve your performance using tried and tested bike fitting methodology. We will tune your mountain bike suspension sag and damping for your cycling needs. Steps covered in the Bike Setup include:

  • interview

  • 3 step pre-fit body assessment

  • 7 step on-bike adjustment process includes cleat adjustment.

  • static suspension setup - suspension sag and damping (MTB only)

Cleat Adjustment

Your feet are 1 of 3 contact points connecting you to your bicycle. Improper cleat placement often results in foot instability, overuse of calf musculature, and foot discomfort, commonly dubbed as "hotspots" or "hot-foot". Steps covered in the cleat setup include:

  • cleat selection

  • cleat fore-aft position

  • cleat rotation/angulation

  • ​

An assessment of your feet to help offer advice on:

  • longitudinal arch height.

  • shoe sizing and selection.

 

*Significant adjustments to your cleat placement can affect your current saddle position. You are required to bring your bike along so that our fitter can make adjustments if necessary.

Retül Fit

Retül Fit is our most comprehensive bike fit using 3D motion capture technology. The Retül system accurately measures every degree of movement and millimeter of distance, providing you and the fitter with objective data to support the choices made during the fit for your cycling equipment and personal riding experience. The Retül Fit includes a follow-up appointment.

 

Steps covered in the Retul Fit include:

 

  • interview

  • 15 step pre-fit body assessment

  • 12 step on-bike adjustment process includes cleat adjustment

  • static suspension setup - front/rear suspension sag and damping (MTB only)

  • bike fit report containing body and bike measurements

  • follow-up appointment included

Retül Fit Additional Bike

Got a second bike? Third? You can’t have too many, we guess. Include an additional bike on your Retül Fit appointment.Steps covered in the Retul Fit include:

  • interview

  • 15 step pre-fit body assessment (taken from initial Retül Fit)

  • 12 step on-bike adjustment process includes cleat adjustment

  • static suspension setup - front/rear suspension sag and damping (MTB only)

  • bike fit report containing body and bike measurements

  • follow-up appointment included

Retül Fit Annual

R 1200

Retül Fit Annual Fit applies to an existing client on their original bike fitted one year prior.

 

Are you experiencing an issue with your previously fitted bike? 

Your body changes over time, for good or bad, so you can not expect your bike fit to remain the same. Your bike's measurements can also differ due to servicing or equipment changes, wear and tear. Steps covered in the Retul Fit Annual Fit include:

  • interview

  • 15 step pre-fit body assessment

  • 12 step on-bike adjustment process includes cleat adjustment

  • static suspension setup - front/rear suspension sag and damping (MTB only)

  • bike fit report containing body and bike measurements

Retül Fit Follow-Up

The Retül Fit Follow-up appointment only applies to clients who have completed a Retül Fit. The Retül Follow-up appointment is to be scheduled within 4 weeks of a Retül Fit appointment. On this appointment, we reassess your position and make the final adjustments based on your subjective feedback and new data captured. Steps covered in the Retul Fit Annual Fit include:

  • interview

  • 15 step pre-fit body assessment

  • 12 step on-bike adjustment process including cleat setup

  • static suspension setup - suspension sag and damping (MTB only)

  • bike fit report containing body and bike measurements
